Grandiflora Roses

The Grandiflora class of roses is also regarded as a subgroup of the hybrid tea roses. This type of roses is generally very tall. The blooms appear in clusters rather than individually on the stems.

Floribunda Roses

Like the Grandifloras class of roses, the floribunda roses bear flowers in large clusters. Floribunda Roses are said to be easier to tend for compared to hybrid tea and Grandiflora roses.

Polyantha Roses

The Polyantha variety of roses is also exported abroad from India. This category of roses is said to be similar to Floribundas. The difference between these two varieties is that the Polyantha Roses are shorter and the blooms are smaller. Polyantha Roses are used for edgings and hedges.

Miniature Rose

Miniflora Roses

Miniflora roses are also exported from India to various countries in the world. A Miniflora rose has flowers of intermediate size. The flowers can be said to be smaller than a floribunda but larger than a miniature rose.

Shrub Roses

The Shrub roses grow 5 to 15 feet in all directions. This variety of roses are known for their cold hardiness and vigorous production of flower clusters. Many subcategories can be found within this group like the David Austin English Rose category so on and so forth.

Climber/ rambler Roses

The Climber roses can be characterized by long, arching canes that can be trained onto fences, trellises, and pergolas. They are basically not a class unto themselves. Also known as rambler rose, these are not clinging, twining plants but have to be tied to their vertical supports in order to grow upward.
